Not so good news and great news

Family and friends,

Bob is still on the respirator. The not so good news is that his liver and kidneys aren't doing great. They took him off the sedation this morning at 9 am as of yet, he still hasn't woken up. They are concerned, but think it may be due to his liver function. They put him on wrist restraints in the event that he wakes up and tries to pull out the tube. They said due to the fact that it's taken so long for hum to come to, that they don't want to sedate him again. They are going to do a ct scan of his brain in about an hour to make sure he isn't bleeding as a precautionary measure. There is hope. Bob has groggigly opened his eyes and grimaced when they gave him a shot. He also squeezed a hand. However they are looking for him to squeeze a hand on command which he hasn't been able to do.

Also they have been giving him red blood all day. Now he will get 2 units of platlets and they will do a blood test. The results of this test they say will be a sign of what is chances are. I'm praying they come back good.

Now for the great news, the bone marrow test came back with NO leukemia! The doc said if he can pull through this, he will make it!

Keep pulling for him,
Michele
Ps. I've got the video recorder on showing him home movies of our christmases so he can hear Christophers voice. It seems to be calming for him. I'll write later tonight to tell everyone what the blood test results are.
